I have finally made an appointment get my Tetanus jab. To be honest I am not all that keen since DD1 has had hers because her arm was sore for a whole week. But she has told me that I will not be allowed to go to Germany unless I get it done. (and I thought I was in charge here) Well, I've booked the appointment and WILL go through with it this time.
DD2 has had her full day at High School. It was really strange to see her go off with her big sister. She looked so confident. Let's hope she'll like High School better than Primary School.
The Native American Brave is coming along very slowly. But I WILL finish him. I just don't know when

Do you know the feeling when you're halfway through a biggish project, it's goin okay but you so want to start something new? Well, I'm there. I am stitching the Native American with his wolf at the moment but you know there is Biancabella shouting in her folder and the fabric I have picked for her is soooooo beautiful. It's Friendship by Polstitches. I've decided on this because the chart was a gift from my wonderful friend Kari :-) But I really really should finish the Native American, shouldn't I. Well, I've got too because I only have one frame big enough for either of them ;-) hehe

This and That
Hi all,
I have been busy with family life. So I keep forgetting about this blog. I know it is outrageous. But hey ;-)
You might remember me telling you that I took part in a round robin way back in 2009. Well it is back home. It was a no rush round robin. So this was okay. But still I am so happy for it to be back home because it looks so amazing! It should be my very last round robin as I have "retired" from doing them

I have still some things to frame. Next will be the birds some lovely friends have stitched for me when my RR got lost. I have framed a few already but run out of money for the frames and they want to go up together (although two are up already) Originally I wanted to turn them into wall hanging but I am worried to spoil them because so much work went into them. Elsbeth Sewing Machine and me are barely at speaking terms ;-)

a tiny finish
I am working on some rather big projects at the moment. So I tend to slip in a few smaller things in between. I have just finished a birthday present for my friend Marion but I am not sure if she reads my blog. SO I'll better don't post a picture before her birthday on July 21st. :-)
The birthday present for my other half is coming along nicely. I might just finish it in time.
My little boy loves Pandas and Racoons. In this months edition of the CrossStitch Crazy they featured a very cute baby panda which I stitched for him. He really loves it :-)

Swimming
Mario has started swimming lessons last week. Well, I am not really shocked that he did not like it. Let's hope that his second lesson will be better ;-) I have stitched him a towel to cheer him up:
I have started this Sarah Kay picture a few years ago but gave up because of the confetti stitching in the dresses. I found it when I was looking for something else and have finally finished it

Neuschwanstein Castle
Hello!
Well, it appears you've guessed wrong: I have managed to finish Neuschwanstein Castle in time for my holiday with 2 days to spare. How am I going to use it???? As if I didn't know already ;-)
I took my two girls and a friend of my eldest to see Olly Murs in concert. To be honest I did not know who he is. But that's me. I like songs, books etc and haven't got a clue who they are by. Funny though I usually know who's designed my latest project. hehe
Anyway Olly Murs is FABULOUS! I think I'd be forgiven to say he's the new Robbie. Gosh so much energy and sooooo cheeky. To tell you the truth I wish I had the money to go and see them both in June but these tickets'd cost more than double than ours did. Okay you get two stars but I have not got the money.... If you don't know Olly, you will have heard most of his songs because I did. His support acts were great too. Expecially the Lovable Rogues. To be honest I would have been okay with having a whole show of them ;-) "OLLY, OLLY, OLLY, Oi, Oi, Oi" :-D

Model Stitching
Hiya,
I have finished stitching my model piece. Oh it was so much fun and only took 3 days. I would love to post a picture but I'm not sure if I'm allowed yet. You might have to wait until the kits are released. I have seen the catlogue and the new designs are so super duper cute. It is unbelievable. I want them ALL!!!!
Anyway as you know Humphrey was always my favourite but it's even better now. So I'll be sending it off today and get back to Neuschwanstein Castle. Will I finish it before I go to Germany???? What is your guess? ;-)

Happy New Year
Happy New Year my friends. I hope 2013 will be better than 2012 ended. Not that 2012 wasn't okay as a whole. I mean come on: We've had a Confirmation, a first day of school, a first trip to London, a visit to Germany (even though the reason was not nice) and lots of stitching and a little knitting as well as fame in some Cross Stitch Magazines and a knitting one as well :-D
But as if it is not enough to worry about my poorly grandpa we have now a new worry. We do not know how he's doing but he's allowed to smoke and drink as much as he wants. I doubt that's good :-(
Some of you might know that my MIL has gone rather strange of late. It's way too much to go into here but to get to a point, she really is supposed to phone us once a day that we know she is well(ish). She has not been doing this or rather erratic. My OH has had to go several times to break into the house (she has things behind the doors) and there she was watching TV. It was different on New Years Eve. This time she actually did collapse. Let's just say the calendar was on the 28th in her house.... She is in hospital now but we'll have to make some very difficult decisions now. She is 81....
But I have managed some stitching.....

Yes, I know I should have been updating my blog more often. But sometimes I just update Facebook and the forget this poor thing.
No, I have not cast Henry byside. Okay I took a break because I wasn't too well and also I have stitched a couple of other things in between:

King Henry Update 9th August
I have another finish. This little bear has been on my list for a while. It's only very little but somehow it got pushed to the back a few times. It is a Rico Design and even comes with it's own frame. I have added "Gute Nacht" because it will help my little boy to have sweet dreams when he goes to sleep :-)
And here is Henry. I have been busy with other things as well as stitching the other design. This is why I haven't managed too much this time ;-)

King Henry Update and Two small finishes
I have been struggling with Anne's dress. But it's finally coming along.
Mr T has discovered his love for anything Thomas. I did start this little cushion a while ago but struggled with fitting the name neately into the space for the ticket. The chart said All Aboard in capital letters. I'm not too keen on writing things for kids in capital letters as they'll need to write their names properly once they're in nursery
This cat has had to be finished. I usually stitch something small when I take Mario to my friends house for his piano lessons. But I have been stitching this cat for nearly 4 lessons now. Last week I left it without a head. But now it's finished and waiting to be turned into a hanger for the Christmas Tree festival.
Tonight I am hoping to stitch more on Henry and his wives.
Oh before I'll forget: I have researched Henry amd his kids and know now more but this is not a history blog. So you'll have to do your own research if you'll want to know more but be warned it's rather sad.

King Henry 4th August
King Henry is coming along. I have started the dress of Wife No 3 and Wife No 4. As you can see I have put a measuring tape on the picture. King Henry was really a rather large guy wasn't he? He must have been rathe scary because no one was THAT big in them days. I believe he was believe he was 6' 2". Stitching Henry got me thinking about the history of Britain. I want to know more about Heny's kids. Why did Edward die so young and why did Mary die? Did you know that Henry changed the law, so that his daughters could become queens? What would Britain have become without the powerful Queen Elizabeth I?
Anyway I'm still watching the OLympics and enjoying it (most of the times). Does anyone know about that funny guy who starts the cycle races? Our theory is that it is a postman and the others are chasing him because he's got their post. But I'll doubt that is the real reason...
What do you think?

King Henry Update 2nd August
Well, I must say the Olympics are rather thrilling although I am getting bored of the swimming. I really enjoyed the Three Day Eventing and was pleased to see that Team D has won GOLD! YEAH! Michael Jung is now European, World AND Olympian Champion in his sport. That is a first. And he got Gold on his 30th birthday!!! But this is not a sport's blog. I am sure you are poised to see King Henry. As I say I have been watching the Olympics and didn't get as much done as I wanted to but here he is:

King Henry 30th July
Ups, I've nearly forgot to give you an update of King Henry today. Thanks for your lovely comments yesterday. By the way it is not for my boy (way too racy for him LOL) He was just complaining about the missing eyes and wanted me to add them asap. I think I will be updating every two days from now on... It's kinder on my SD card ;-)

Update 29th July King Henry
Here is today's update. As you can see Henry has got eyes now. So my little boy is pleased ;-) So far I am still enjoying it and am not showing any sign of getting bored of it yet. It really does help to cross out every symbol on the chart as I go along :-)

King Henry Update 28th July 2012
Here it is today:
I have been told to add the eyes. So I am hoping to do this today but certain little troublemakers are rather cheeky today. So we'll have to see what we'll manage to do tonight ;-)

King Henry Update 27th July
Here is todays update. I'll be watching the Olympic Opening later. So I don't know if it is too great to stitch to or if I can do both.
I don't know if I have mentioned it before but I am going to London in a month. The Embassy is requesting my presence. Well, I have made an appointment for my new passport (not that I'm planning to go anywhere). I don't really do Cities but I've gotta because they'll need my fingerprints and I can't send them in the post. So I thought why not go and have a peep in the palace too (I know there are more than one but I mean the big one). So I have booked my ticket for a peep round the state rooms and am getting excited :-)
