You will not believe it but I have finally plucked up the courage and finished off the children' stockings. And here they are:

I am rather proud how they have turned out. Now my husband wants one too and how could I say no ;-) I'll better get stitching

Another Hummel

I have finished another Hummel picture. This one is called Feeding Time and reminds me of when my eldest was little. My lovely grandparents own chicken and my daughter enjoyed feeding them. This little girl looks a lot like her at that age.

Dimensions Good Morning

Gosh what a busy year 2013 is. I have just returned from a short trip to Germany. My grandfather is very ill. His cancer has spread and I have never felt so upset when I said good bye before.

I will not manage to go again before august 2014. So I'll just have to try to be positive.

My latest stitching finish is a Dimensions Kit. It is called Good Morning and is my favourite finish to date. It just looks so cheerful, so full of hope.

Here it is:

My next project is Feeding Time, a little girl feeding chickens. This reminds me of when my eldest daughter was small and fed my grandparents chickens.

A Hummel

Hello,

I have just finished a Hummel picture. I started it in between things and now I didn't want to start anything new. So I am finishing off some UFOs and WIPs. It's not that I haven't got anything new to start but this WIP-heap was getting out off control ;-)

Here he is:

I don't know if you aware of the awful floods in Germany. This flood is the worst ever with the biggest ever area effected. My dad was evacuated yesterday and went back to his mum for a few days. They will have lost an awful lot. People have died. As you might know Germany is ALWAYS on of the first country to help when other countries need help but the EU will not help the flood victims. Many of them will not have insurances because they can not get an insurance due to the flood in 2002......

King Henry

Hello,

I know you think I had given up and he joined some UFOs in my box. You were nearly right but after a big break Henry wanted to be finished and I REALLY enjoyed every stitch even though there are masses of French Knots. Now he is finished and waiting for a frame (I hope I'll find one).

I don't know if I have mentioned about the two Humphrey Corner test pieces I stitched for the designer? You can buy them now. So I think it's save to put them on my blog. Aren't they cute?

Now will someone tell my brother or cousins to have kids? I need someone to stitch the others for ;-)

Tobias LOVES Racoons. He has a fluffy one and gets really upset if he mislays it. So I have stitched him one

Neuschwanstein Castle

Hello!

Well, it appears you've guessed wrong: I have managed to finish Neuschwanstein Castle in time for my holiday with 2 days to spare. How am I going to use it???? As if I didn't know already ;-)

I took my two girls and a friend of my eldest to see Olly Murs in concert. To be honest I did not know who he is. But that's me. I like songs, books etc and haven't got a clue who they are by. Funny though I usually know who's designed my latest project. hehe

Anyway Olly Murs is FABULOUS! I think I'd be forgiven to say he's the new Robbie. Gosh so much energy and sooooo cheeky. To tell you the truth I wish I had the money to go and see them both in June but these tickets'd cost more than double than ours did. Okay you get two stars but I have not got the money.... If you don't know Olly, you will have heard most of his songs because I did. His support acts were great too. Expecially the Lovable Rogues. To be honest I would have been okay with having a whole show of them ;-) "OLLY, OLLY, OLLY, Oi, Oi, Oi" :-D

Model Stitching

Hiya,

I have finished stitching my model piece. Oh it was so much fun and only took 3 days. I would love to post a picture but I'm not sure if I'm allowed yet. You might have to wait until the kits are released. I have seen the catlogue and the new designs are so super duper cute. It is unbelievable. I want them ALL!!!!

Anyway as you know Humphrey was always my favourite but it's even better now. So I'll be sending it off today and get back to Neuschwanstein Castle. Will I finish it before I go to Germany???? What is your guess? ;-)

Sunday, 3 March 2013

Hello,

Oh I am sooooo excited: all being well I will be model stitching one of the new HUMPHREY's Corner designs. It's not for money but I will get my stitching back when they've finished with it. OH wow. As you know I really really love Humphrey, Lottie and Jack. I have seen the new catalogue and when my kiddies asked me which one I hope to get I just had to say ALL of them. They are so mega cute. I have never model stitched before. So I hope my stitching will be up to scratch. But I think I'll be okay.

I don't think I'll be allowed to post pictures but it doesn't matter! :-)

A good friend of mine picked up a WHOLE kit of the Winnie the Pooh Calender from a Charity Shop for mere pennies for me. Isn't that kind?

My family is doing okayish now. Okay not all is going to plan but I feel much more relaxed now. MIL is really funny (in the strange way). I do HER washing in her new flat but she thinks I bring my own and that it is sooooo handy for me. Her flat on the complete other side of town which means 2 busses ond feeling queasy in the second one because it's far. But it doesn't matter. I actually quite enjoy helping her out a bit. Now I just have to find out if the have a hoover there or if I have to buy one for her :-) I really like MIL's little flat and the carers and staff are really nice. It's an Extra-Care flat.

Also the count down to DS1 and my holiday to Germany has truly began. He is so excited. It's his 5th birthday on Tuesday too. So you can imagine how much our house is buzzing. It's so much better than in the last few months :-)

Happy New Year

Happy New Year my friends. I hope 2013 will be better than 2012 ended. Not that 2012 wasn't okay as a whole. I mean come on: We've had a Confirmation, a first day of school, a first trip to London, a visit to Germany (even though the reason was not nice) and lots of stitching and a little knitting as well as fame in some Cross Stitch Magazines and a knitting one as well :-D

But as if it is not enough to worry about my poorly grandpa we have now a new worry. We do not know how he's doing but he's allowed to smoke and drink as much as he wants. I doubt that's good :-(

Some of you might know that my MIL has gone rather strange of late. It's way too much to go into here but to get to a point, she really is supposed to phone us once a day that we know she is well(ish). She has not been doing this or rather erratic. My OH has had to go several times to break into the house (she has things behind the doors) and there she was watching TV. It was different on New Years Eve. This time she actually did collapse. Let's just say the calendar was on the 28th in her house.... She is in hospital now but we'll have to make some very difficult decisions now. She is 81....

But I have managed some stitching.....
